Matt Kerr

Area Director

Matt Kerr is the Peninsula Area Director for the FCA. Originally from Elizabeth City, N.C., then from Bedford, Va., he was recruited to play football at Christopher Newport University in Newport News, VA where he started at long snapper and tight end. During his four years, he helped the Captains make it to the NCAA tournament three times, reaching the Sweet 16 during his senior year. Matt helped lead the CNU FCA campus huddle large group and a Bible study for football players. Matt graduated in 2015 with a degree in business management and minors in philosophy and leadership studies.

After graduation, he spent a year in Albany, NY, working logistics while becoming engaged to his now wife Allie. Upon there marriage in 2016 they felt God calling them back to the Hampton Roads area. Matt is very excited to be coming on staff and serving the Lord through FCA in full time ministry to the coaches and athletes on the peninsula. Matt and his family, Allie and Wyatt, are members of Coastal Church.

Meet Pastor Ek- he is bringing the gospel to a northern village in Thailand near the border of Laos. He is using soccer as a way to share the gospel.
